Justice Nicholas McHaffie, a Judge of the Federal Court, was appointed a Judge of the Federal Court of Appeal. An appointment was also made today in Quebec.

• Federal Court: The Honourable Nicholas McHaffie, a Judge of the Federal Court, was appointed a Judge of the Federal Court of Appeal. Justice McHaffie replaces Justice R. Boivin, who resigned effective September 2, 2025. Justice McHaffie replaces Justice R. Boivin, who resigned effective September 2, 2025.
• Quebec Court of Appeal: The Honourable Audrey Boctor, a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec for the district of Montréal, was appointed a puisne Judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec in Montréal. Justice Boctor replaces Justice S. Sansfaçon (Montréal), who elected to become a supernumerary judge effective March 3, 2026.
