Federal Court of Appeal Judicial Appointment

The Department of Justice has announced that Justice Gauthier, currently of the Federal Court has been appointed to the Federal Court of Appeal, effectively immediately.

Justice Gauthier has been a judge of the Federal Court since 2002 and has heard a number of significant intellectual property proceedings. Her appointment to the Federal Court of Appeal is to replace Justice Nadon who has elected to become a supernumerary judge.

Judicial appointments were also made today to the courts in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta and the Northwest Territories.
